About Doctor Walker

Dr. Walker is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist


Dr. Walker is an interventional radiologist serving as the Department Clinical Lead and the gynaecology MDT lead radiologist at Jersey General Hospital.


He earned his medical degree from the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University, Prague. Dr. Walker became involved in fibroid embolisation in 2000 while working as a research assistant on the first European fibroid embolisation trial. He subsequently spent three years as a surgical trainee in Glasgow and taught anatomy at St. Andrews.


Following this, Dr. Walker Joined Imperial College as a radiology registrar for six years before completing an interventional fellowship at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital. His first consultant post was as a locum at University College London Hospital (UCLH) where he worked for over three years before relocating to Jersey for a full time position in 2019.


Dr Walker has performed over 100 fibroid embolisations and his practice is mentored by his father who has performed over 5,000 procedures and pioneered fibroid embolisation in the UK.
